The Suspended Man’ marks Armando Mesias’ first individual exhibition Cali as a tribute to his city. A return to both his geographical origins and his first contacts with art: to the simple, recursive and spontaneous nature of it all. It is precisely this idea of ‘The Eternal Return’ what fuels his recent work, as something that is at the same time inevitable and impossible. Something that keeps us somewhere between here and there, perpetually suspended.
